Since 2008

The Commonwealth Fund (CMWF) is a U.S. non-profit organisation whose mandate is to support decision-making in the field of health through the production of comparative research on healthcare systems.

Since 2008, HAS has participated in the international surveys conducted by the Commonwealth Fund (CMWF). These surveys on the perception of care quality and safety are carried out in around ten countries, alternately among the public, patients with chronic diseases or general practitioners.

In France, the steering committee is comprised of representatives from HAS, CNAMTS [National Salaried Workers’ Health Insurance Fund] and, more recently, IRDES [Institute for Research and Documentation in Health Economics].

Each year in November, the survey results are discussed during the annual international seminar organised by the CMWF in Washington, D.C. and published in Health Affairs.

The annual seminar organised by the CMWF in Washington, D.C. focuses on healthcare policies related to care quality and safety and brings together 65 invited participants, including ministers of health or their representatives.
